Ski & Snowboard Camp on Mt. Helmos! A winter break full of ski & snowboard and fun winter activities in Kalavrita!

An unforgettable camp full of skiing, snowboarding, and an array of winter activities awaits kids aged 11-15 in Kalavrita!

The kids will be staying at the beautiful ​​Orias Guesthouse (1,000m.), located in the village of Kerpini just 10’ from Kalavrita.

6 full days of winter activities, including skiing or snowboarding, educational and fun time is on the menu! An exclusive camp for a small group of kids, where they will not only improve their skiing skills but enrich their skillset through new and exciting winter activities, such as hiking, stargazing, orienteering, igloo construction, and even climbing on a 6.5-meter artificial climbing wall. They will meet professional mountain guides, environmental scientists and learn all about mountain safety.

Our “ski & snowboard school” includes 5 days of 4-hour lessons with trained ski instructors for small groups of 3-4 kids, that will be formed based on their ski level.

Our Trekking Hellas Achaea team offers meaningful mountain experiences. Our goal is the physical and mental advancement of kids, the development of life skills, and the promotion of values like solidarity, self-esteem, friendship, love, and respect for our natural environmet.

All our activities are specially designed for children and are operated by trained Trekking Hellas guides and adhere to all safety rules!

Proof of vaccination or a negative lab rapid test no older than 48 hours or PCR no older than 72 hours is required for participation in the camp.

The kids will be staying at the Orias Guesthouse with all available facilities at their disposal. The guest house is in the heart of an organic farm of 20 acres, among cherries, firs, plane trees, fields with herbs, vegetables, and fruits. Our guests can take part in farm activities, such as picking lavender, grapes, herbs, fruits, and vegetables.

  • 2-3 kids will share the same room (same-sex/age group)
  • Team Leader responsible for 3 rooms, which are located in the same building.

Frequent communication with your children will make it difficult for them to adjust smoothly and quickly. The children have a full program of activities every day. 

Camp manager: Chouliaras Giannis

With dynamic involvement in the field of outdoor activities (Mountaineering, alpine skiing), snowboard coach, and certified at first aid. He has many years of experience in outdoor activities, with significant knowledge of the environment and local traditions. He is responsible for camp and has overall responsibility for its smooth operation.

Head of Activities: Kotileas Giannis

Giannis is a graduate professor of Physical Education from the Kapodistrian University of Athens, specializing in skiing and water skiing. He is also a graduate of Thomson Rivers University (British Columbia, Canada) in the field of organizing and managing adventure tourism and holds the title of Adventure Management Diploma. He is also an IANTD (International Association of Nitrox and Technical Diving) scuba instructor and a surf instructor from ISA.

Medical coverage

Team leaders and trainers are certified at first aid and the camp has a fully-equipped pharmacy. There is also a doctor on 24-hour call to deal with any incident. In case of a serious problem, the patient is transferred to the medical center of Kalavrita (9 km) from the guesthouse. The University Hospital of Rio is also only 45′ away.

Afternoon snack: Homemade pie or ice cream or jelly is shared at 5:30 p.m.

Dinner: Served between 20:30 – 21:30

All meals are served with fresh salad or veggies from the garden and seasonal fruit.

Please note that the guest house provides all accommodation services, therefore you do not need to provide pillows, sheets, blankets, towels, shampoo, shower gels.

  • the arrival of the kids in Kalavryta on Saturday, February 19th
  • departure from Kalavryta on Saturday 26th and their arrival time
