The experience begins with an easy hike to the Old Aqueduct of Benitses, a historic 19th century landmark closely tied to the village’s past. The trail winds through lush greenery and follows paths that once formed part of the area’s water supply network, offering a glimpse into both the natural beauty and history of Benitses.
Along the way, we pass the Church of Agios Nikolaos, a peaceful spot tucked away in the greenery, before continuing towards the village.
We then explore Benitses on foot, wandering through its narrow streets and charming corners while discovering the history and character of one of Corfu’s most distinctive villages.
From there, we make our way to Benitses Marina, where a renowned chef welcomes us for a hands-on cooking class inspired by Greek and Corfiot cuisine.
With the chef’s guidance, we prepare traditional dishes, learn local cooking techniques, and discover some of the flavors that define Corfiot cuisine. Once everything is ready, we sit down to enjoy the meal we have prepared together, right by the sea.
After lunch, there is time to unwind and enjoy an afternoon swim at Benitses Beach. Sun loungers are provided by the restaurant hosting the cooking class, making for a relaxed end to a full day of exploring, cooking, and discovering Benitses.
