Children's camps and multi-day programs terms and conditions

1. CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION

The camps (Pertouli and Karpenisi) accept children from the age of six (6) (who have completed the first grade and can, with written confirmation of the parent, take care of themselves) up to sixteen (16) years old.

The rest of the multi-day activity programs accept children of different ages, as mentioned on the website of each program.

Children participating in the programs should not suffer from any contagious disease, mental disorder or any other serious health problem that could endanger the health or physical integrity of themselves or other children and the smooth conduct of the program.

In any case of any medical or behavioral issues, parents or legal guardians, before making a reservation, have to inform the Children's Department of the company in a timely and written manner (emailing at infokids@trekking.gr), in order to examine and approve the child's participation in the program, after contacting the person in charge of the camp/program.

2. PARTICIPANT'S MEDICAL HISTORY

It is mandatory to complete and send a Medical Certificate signed by a doctor, which confirms that there is no physical and/or mental and/or nutritional restriction on the child's participation in the program.

In case of a history of acute allergic reaction/anaphylaxis, it is mandatory to complete and send a Medical Certificate signed by the allergist who monitors the child, as well as precautionary instructions and a treatment plan in case of an incident.

Certificates must be sent one month prior the start of the camping period. Medical Certificate Model: https://bit.ly/ MedicalCertificate Allergist Medical Certificate Model: https://bit.ly/ MedicalAllergist Certificate

The completed medical certificates as well as any instructions for medication/nutritional treatment, are to be sent only to the Children's Department of the company at the following email: infokids@trekking.gr, for the protection of the child's personal data. Any of the above deemed necessary will be forwarded to the Senior staff and the Head of the Camp/Program.

3. NON-ACCEPTANCE/EXPULSION OF A PARTICIPANT FROM A PROGRAM

The non-acceptance of participation or expulsion of a child may occur indicatively, but not restrictively, in the following cases:

  • When the parents/legal guardians have not informed during registration, the existence of a serious medical problem (physical or mental) of the child or have not provided all the necessary documents for the registration of the child in time (medical history signed by the pediatrician for full vaccination and participation in the activities, diagnosis and prescriptions).
  • In the event that the child manifests intense aggressive behavior towards other children, employees, objects and/or animals, damages private property or commits other reprehensible and/or criminal acts (e.g. theft, abuse, bullying, improper use of a mobile phone) or repeatedly refuses to comply with the instructions of the Camp or program executives.
  • When there is reasonable evidence that the child has sexually molested another child.
  • When it is found that the child is carrying dangerous or prohibited items (e.g. folding knife, knife), tobacco products or e-cigarettes, alcohol or illegal substances)
  • When this is deemed necessary for the child's health or for the protection of the health of the other campers.
  • When it is found that the campers or their parents/legal guardians do not comply with the terms of these Regulations (e.g. violation of safety rules, etc.).
  • When the child's stay creates problems for the smooth operation of the Camp/Program and for the other campers.

For all the above reasons, the Camp/Program Manager, with the consent of the Head of the Children's Department, may not accept the participation of a child, or may have to propose or impose his withdrawal. It is also possible, depending on the severity of the incident, that the child will not be admitted in subsequent camping periods.

In the event that a decision is made to expel the child from the camp or program, the child's parents or legal guardians are required to arrange for the child to be picked up within 24 hours from the camp site. Pick-up of the child can be carried out either by them or by another person authorized in written. All related expenses, transportation included are to be covered exclusively and entirely by the parents/legal guardians of the camper.

4. ACTIVITY PROGRAM

The daily program of outdoor activities is indicative. The order of activities/day can be modified based on group dynamics and weather.

5. CAMPERS' WISHES

The Children's Department informs the Camp/Program manager of all the special wishes of the children, which are taken into account and satisfied if possible based on the planning of the program, the available infrastructure and the final consent of the Camp’s/Program’s manager.

6. COMMUNICATION WITH PARTICIPANTS - MOBILE PHONES & CAMERAS

It is in the company's philosophy and policy that children do not use mobile phones, tablet and smart watches during their vacation with us. In case a child is found to carry a mobile phone, it will be removed and kept by the Team Leaders or the Program and will be returned upon departure from the camp.

In addition, for security and privacy reasons, the use of a camera is not allowed.

For the smooth operation of the daily program, the communication of children with parents is carried out exclusively through the available mobile phones of the Camp/Program and at specific times. The mobile phone numbers as well as the timetable are communicated via email to the parents and are also listed on the website of each program.

7. SOUVENIR PHOTOS

The Children's Department sends to the families of the campers souvenir photos after the end of the camping season at a common link. The photos depict the majority of children during the activities, individually or in a group, but some children may not be depicted. In accordance with the

General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), these photos constitute personal data and may only be used for private use. Children or their parents may not post them on social media or other public online platforms without the prior written consent of all persons depicted (or parental guardians, in the case of minors). Their publication without consent may constitute a breach of data protection legislation.

In case you do not wish to have your child photographed, please send a relevant request to infokids@trekking.gr up to 7 days prior the start of the program.

8. LOSS OF OBJECTS

In the camps/programs there is no possibility of guarding valuables with a lock or in a safe and for this reason we strongly recommend that the children do not bring with them things of great monetary or emotional value, for the eventual loss of which, we will not be responsible.

9. TRANSPORTATION

The transfers included in the price are to/from the camping center/program.

Any travel other than the above is the responsibility of the parents/legal guardians/ (except in special cases - transfer to a Health Center or Hospital).
