Lousios River Rafting

During Rafting on the Lousios & Alfeios Rivers, we discover the wild beauty of Arcadia from a completely different perspective. Rafting lets us reach parts of the river that are hard to access any other way, paddle through spectacular natural scenery and, when conditions allow, stop for a refreshing swim along the way.

Before setting off, we get a quick introduction to the basic rafting techniques, gear up with the necessary equipment and get ready to experience two of Greece’s most beautiful rivers.

The adventure begins at Atsicholos Bridge on the Lousios River. From there, we paddle through a narrow, dramatic gorge surrounded by lush vegetation, natural springs and beautiful stone arch bridges.

Towering cliffs rise on both sides of the river, creating exciting passages along the route, while the flowing waters of the Lousios add just the right mix of action, fun and adrenaline.

As we continue, we reach the Alfeios River, where the landscape starts to open up and the scenery changes. The descent ends at the historic stone Koukos Bridge, a great final stop after a day on the river.
