An exciting and fascinating descent in the straits of Peneus, in the area of Vernezi, which is considered by many as one of the most...interesting and challenging!
The Peneus River is one of the largest rivers of our country! Its rushing waters originate from Pindos mountain, flow through the Thessalian plain and empty into the Aegean Sea. Homer refers to it, as “argyrodinis”, meaning “the river with the silver swirls”, in an attempt to describe its winding beauty.
The Vernezi section of the river in which we'll raft, is particularly demanding, with continuous passages and only short intervals with smooth flow. We will mainly encounter 3rd - 4th degree passages and big waves, due to the large volume of water. It is a unique, exciting experience that gets the adrenaline pumping!
At the end of our rafting ride, we can indulge in the sport of archery in our specially designed area, and finish today's adventure with a delicious light lunch.
