The winter ascent of Skolio (2,909 m), the second highest and one of the most impressive peaks of Mount Olympus and Greece, promises a truly unique experience! During winter, snow already blankets even the lower slopes, creating a magical contrast between the pristine white snow and the dark forests of the mountain.
The ascent begins at the KEOAH parking area (1,800 m), which is also our meeting point. We follow the road to the military camp, and shortly after, reach the lifts of the Vrysopoules Ski Center (1,920 m). Following the ski trails, we arrive at Migotzidis Refuge (2,400 m), entering the alpine zone of Olympus and enjoying a stunning snowy landscape.
Above us towers the Agios Antonios peak. We continue toward the Agios Antonios col, a viewpoint with breathtaking panoramas, before heading to our final goal: the summit of Skolio, traversing a gentle yet impressive ridgeline.
Experience the magic of winter on Mount Olympus and reach the summit of one of Greece’s most majestic mountains with us!
