To kick off our column, we pose a quintessential question: If we were to visit your locale for the first time, what spot is an absolute must-visit?

Crete:

While acknowledging the complexity of such a query, we recommend the Samaria Gorge. This natural marvel seamlessly blends majestic landscapes, historical allure, and the joy of a refreshing swim in Agia Roumeli or the charming Loutro afterward.

Grevena & Valia Calda:

In the warm embrace of summer and autumn, our go-to destination is the National Park of Pindos, Valia Kalda. Here, we revel in forest exploration and nature's wonders. Winter calls for a retreat to the snowy haven of the National Ski Centre of Vasilitsa, while spring beckons us to the mountain complex of Orliaka, a Geological Park with its enchanting gorges!

Olympus:

Mytikas, Olympus's crown at 2,918 meters – our nation's highest peak. The experience is nothing short of extraordinary, etching indelible memories into your being.

Rhodes:

Selecting just one spot is a daunting task, but the Acropolis of Rhodes claims its place for its panoramic splendor. From the convergence of the Aegean and the Mediterranean to the vistas of the Medieval Town, the New Town, the Aquarium, the hill of Filerimos, and beyond, the view encompasses the stunning Turkish coastline and picturesque Symi.

Parnassos:

The Ancient Delphi Trail, particularly the segment linking Livadi Arachova to Delphi. Navigate through a landscape alternating between fir forests and low Mediterranean vegetation, all while relishing the valley's panoramic views. This ancient stone pathway, a 3,000-year-old road, holds a special place as a serene refuge – a place where anger dissipates within minutes.
