Overview

This summer, we welcome kids to our base at Lake Tsivlou, offering them unique and exciting experiences. The Summer Youth Camp at Lake Tsivlou by The North Face is a multi-day activity program designed for adventurous children who love nature and action!

The program aims to help our campers develop important values such as independence, teamwork, solidarity, and respect for the environment. These values are fostered through experiential team-building games, and outdoor activities.

At night, we have the chance to gaze at the starry sky. We gather together to share stories and experiences, strengthening the bonds of friendship. We play games and have lots of fun!

The children are accommodated in 3-season tents by The North Face, providing protection from the sun and rain.

*Day by day program is indicative/the order of activities is subject to change depending on group dynamics and weather.

*All our activities are specially designed for children and are operated with trained guides following all safety rules!

To secure your spot in the summer camp program, please first complete the online booking through “Book Now” and the payment, and then fill in the following details:

  • Online Participant's Personal Information Form
  • At least 1 month before the start of the program, you are kindly asked to send the Medical Form, signed by a pediatrician/pathologist.

  • In case of a history of severe allergic reactions/anaphylaxis, you must provide us with a signed Medical Form from an allergist at least 1 month before the start of the program.

*Important note: The Online Booking Form and the Participant's Personal Information Form must be filled out by the parent/legal guardian of the child.

Accommodation

Children are accommodated in 3-season tents by The North Face, offering protection from both the sun and rain

Location

The Summer Youth Camp Lake Tsivlou takes place at Lake Tsivlou, located on the slopes of Mount Chelmos at an altitude of 700 meters.

Lake Tsivlou is considered one of the youngest natural lakes in Europe! Surrounded by dense forests and rich biodiversity, the area offers unique opportunities for exploration and connection with nature.

Mount Chelmos, with its majestic mountain range, is ideal for hiking and other outdoor activities.

Bus transfers

The price includes bus transfers from Athens to the camp and from the camp back to Athens.

The Kids' Department will inform parents of the exact departure and pick-up times and location.

For any changes regarding the children’s transportation, you must contact the Kids' Department via e-mail.

Organizational structure – Staff

Camp director: Giannis Chouliaras

  • He is strongly involved in the field of outdoor activities (mountain hiking, mountain ski)
  • He is a snowboard instructor.
  • He is a First Aider.
  • He counts many years of experience in outdoor activities.
  • He is passionate and actively cares about the protection and preservation of the environment and loves local traditions.
  • He is the Camp Manager and therefore responsible for the proper conduct of the program.

Team Leaders: Chrysogelou Chrisanthi/ Demiris Christos

  • They lead their teams, guide, help, inspire and protect.
  • They know the character of each kid, their preferences in food, music, and activities.
  • They all have attended a mandatory course of seminars, including theoretical knowledge and training in games and activities of the program.

Activity Guide: Rallis Errikos

  • His is trained and certified to plan, coordinate and supervise the offering activities for children's entertainment.

Medical Coverage

  • Team leaders and activity guides are trained in providing first aid.
  • The camp operates with a fully equipped infirmary.
  • A doctor is on call 24/7 for any needs.
  • In case of a serious issue, the child will be transported to the medical centre in Kalavryta (38 km) from the campsite. The University Hospital of Rio is located 60 minutes away.

Visitation day

For the safety and smooth running of the program, campers cannot receive visitors during their stay.

Meals

The dietary program for children is carefully designed to meet all of their nutritional needs and preferences. With 5 meals a day, we ensure that children receive the energy and nutrients they require for the various activities they engage in, whether they take place within or outside of the camp.

Breakfast: Breakfast includes milk, cereals, honey, praline, jams, cake, fruits, cold cuts and cheeses, fresh boiled eggs

Snack: Fresh juice with sandwiches/ fruits/ iced tea/ cake/ wraps/ traditional pies

Lunch: served between 14.30-15.30 depending on activities

Afternoon: Homemade pie/ ice cream/ jelly/ yogurt with honey. Served at 17:30.

Dinner: served between 20:30 - 21:30

All meals are always accompanied by a salad from the garden and seasonal fruit.

Equipment

We kindly request that parents pay special attention to ensuring their child is properly equipped with the necessary items listed below. Our exciting camp activities require appropriate equipment to ensure that they are enjoyable and not tiring for the children. Improper equipment, such as backpacks and shoes not designed for mountain activities, can even cause injuries. Please review the following list carefully to ensure that your child has everything they need for their stay with us.

Accommodation:

  • Sleeping bag 3 ορ 4 seasons & sleeping carry mat (Ideally inflatable for comfort)
  • 1 sheet, 1 pillowcase, 1 pillow
  • Flashlight and extra batteries

Clothing:

  • Athletic clothing (t-shirts, shorts)
  • Athletic gear/long pants for hiking in the forest to protect against thorns and possible insect bites

Please note the following: 

  • On the first day of the camp session, direct communication with campers is not possible. The first day is dedicated to arrival, settling in, introductions, and organising the groups.

  • Mobile phones are not allowed during the camp. If a child is found to have a mobile phone, it will be collected by a camp staff member and returned at the end of the session.

  • We recommend avoiding daily communication with children, as this may hinder their smooth adjustment. Children have a full daily program of activities.

What are the age requirements for the camp?

Children aged 9 up to 14 years old can attend the camp.

How can I reserve a spot?

Reservations for summer camps and kids’ multi-day activity programs are made exclusively through the Online Booking process, as follows:


🔹 Step 1: Choose Your Program

• Visit the webpage of the camp or multi-day program you are interested in.
• On the top right corner of the page, click the red button “Book Now.”


🔹 Step 2: Select Period & Fill in Details

• Stage 1: Choose the desired period and indicate the number of participants.
Note: Booking multiple participants is only allowed for siblings.
• Stage 2:

• In the “Reservation Form” field, fill in the parent/guardian details who is making the booking.
• In the “Campers Information” section, enter the requested details of the child.


🔹 Step 3: Review & Payment

• Carefully review all the details you have entered.
• If you wish to pay by credit card, you may select installment payments (available only for Greek credit cards).
• To proceed, you will need to accept the Terms & Conditions of participation.


🔹 Step 4: Complete Payment

• Enter your card details and click “Proceed.”
• Once the transaction is successfully completed, you will automatically receive a confirmation e-mail at the address you provided, including all booking details.
