Overview

A Unique Two-Day Experience in the Vasilitsa-Gomara Region Worth Experiencing!

Trekking Hellas Mt. Olympus, in collaboration with Certified Mountain Guide (HMGA) Akis Parousis, is organizing a Mountaineering Ski and Splitboard Camp in the Vasilitsa and Gomara area of Grevena. This camp will take place in a region renowned for its high-quality snow and beautiful untouched slopes, famous for off-piste skiing and snowboarding. Surrounded by beech, black pine, and ancient Rombolo pine forests, with gentle slopes and low avalanche risk, this setting offers ideal conditions for a mountaineering ski and splitboard camp.

The camp is designed for intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders (comfortable on red slopes and controlled descents on black slopes) who wish to explore backcountry terrain, expand their skills, and discover the natural lines of the Vasilitsa (2249 m) and Gomara (2120 m) mountains—a true backcountry paradise!

During the two-day camp, participants will learn about:

  • Introduction to Mountaineering Ski and Splitboard Equipment
  • Risks in Mountaineering Ski and Splitboard
  • Avalanches and Avoidance Techniques
  • Movement on Terrain and Descent Lines
Day 1
Arrival - Vassilitsa 2249m.
Day 2
Samarina - Gomara Summit 2120m. - End
