Do not miss a unique two-day Ski Mountaineering Camp and Splitboard organized by Trekking Hellas Mt. Olympus and Certified Mountain Guide HMGA Lazaros Botelis in Vassilitsa, Grevena, and Gomara. Explore the off-piste skiing and snowboarding in the area surrounded by Beech, Black Pine, and Robola forests.

A perfect terrain for ski mountaineering and split board camp, this field boasts smooth slopes and an absence of avalanches. The camp caters to intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders who can confidently handle red and black pistes. - Movement in the field, descent lines

Activities / Schedule

Saturday 13-1-2024

09:00am Meeting at Chalet Robolo, located in Vasilitsa St. opposite the Elimia sliding lift. Introduction of participants, equipment check, introduction to splitboard equipment (Splitboard, Skins, Baton) and information on mountain safety (transceiver demonstration -Sonta-shovel)
11:00am Activity in the field, warm-up and ascent to the peak of Vasilitsa 2249m. ,presentation and use of transceiver, shovel and sonta in the field.
13:00pm Practical training in the surrounding area
14:00pm Descent from the summit of Vasilitsa
14:30pm At the end of the descent, departure for Samarina (20 minutes) where you will spend the night at AVELLAS Rooms for Rent. Free time to eat, rest.
18:30pm Update on Sunday's program, discussion.

08:00am Breakfast at the Restaurant
08:45amDeparture for the Vaσsilitsa Ski Center
09:30amWe park and start our journey to the Gomara peak 2,120m.
12:30am From the summit of Gomara we will enjoy a magical descent to the foothills of the mountain!
14:30pm Back to the cars, end of program

TERMS OF PARTICIPATION

The person in charge of the program, guide and mountain guide, has the right to change part of the program, always in consultation with the group, if there are bad weather conditions and based on the safety of the people he guiding.

Also, he can change the route or part of it, if sudden health reasons of a member of the group require it, or interrupt it, in case a member of the group does not respect the safety rules set by the mountain guide.

The routes described above are carried out in a mountain and alpine environment, with a duration (ascent - descent) of up to 6 hours. They require good health and an adequate level of fitness as well as good off-piste skiing/snowboarding ability.
