Overview

This carefully curated multi-day journey through Santorini and Crete offers a balanced introduction to the Aegean, combining active exploration, cultural discovery, and authentic local experiences at a comfortable pace. Designed for travellers who value depth and quality, the itinerary focuses on meaningful activities and well-chosen highlights, while still allowing the freedom to experience each destination in your own way.

In Santorini, volcanic landscapes and iconic caldera views set the scene for a mix of outdoor and cultural experiences. Highlights include a scenic hike along the caldera from Fira to Oia, passing through Firostefani and Imerovigli, sea kayaking along the island’s dramatic coastline, and a hands-on cooking class introducing traditional Cycladic flavours.

The journey continues in Crete, Greece’s largest and most diverse island, where history and nature unfold side by side. Explore the Minoan Palace of Knossos and the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion for a deeper understanding of the island’s past, then experience its natural beauty with a hike through the Samaria Gorge, one of Europe’s most impressive landscapes. Time in Chania, with its Venetian harbour, local markets, and guided food tour, offers a strong connection to everyday Cretan life and cuisine.

This journey is designed to combine active exploration with cultural depth, offering a partially guided experience that blends expert-led activities with free time to explore at your own pace.
