Activities / Schedule

From Nydri to Meganisi

We start our adventure by sliding our sea kayaks into the calm waters of Nydri and setting course toward the heart of Lefkada’s inner archipelago. As we glide away from the waterfront, a cluster of emerald islets unfolds ahead of us. Our route leads us through the renowned Prince’s Islands, passing by Madouri and the legendary Scorpios, with a relaxing pause at the iconic Jackie O’s beach.

The scenery slowly shifts into quieter, untouched landscapes as we trace Meganisi’s sheltered coves and verdant coastline. We pause at Fanari Beach to enjoy a traditional snack and dive into the transparent Ionian waters.

From there, we continue toward Elia Beach, where a small seaside village welcomes us. We settle into cozy guesthouses, enjoy a delicious dinner at a local taverna, and end the day with a peaceful night’s rest.

Camping in Kalamos

We wake to the aroma of fresh coffee and enjoy an energizing breakfast before diving once more into the clear Ionian waters. With the sun warming the horizon, we set off toward the next paradise of the Ionian Sea, the island of Kalamos. Towering peaks, steep green slopes dropping straight into deep blue waters, pine-fringed white-pebble beaches and the brilliant Mediterranean light all combine to create a beautiful atmosphere.

Today’s paddle takes us along the northern and eastern coastline of Kalamos, with plenty of stops for swimming and relaxing in quiet bays. By afternoon, we reach Kalamos, a traditional fishing village where local life moves at a gentle, authentic rhythm. Here we enjoy the warm hospitality of the islanders and traditional delicacies, best accompanied by a refreshing glass of ouzo.

We then continue toward Myrtia Beach, our home for the night. Here we set up camp right by the sea and prepare a delicious BBQ dinner using fresh local ingredients. As the sun sets and the stars fill the sky, we settle into our tents for a peaceful night surrounded by the sounds of nature.

Paddling to Kastos Island

Today we leave behind the heavenly island of Kalamos and the warm hospitality of its people as we head to the island of Kastos. With just one small village, Kastos has kept its old charm and local traditions, with the peace and remoteness that make it a real escape for visitors.

We paddle along the island’s north and west coast, exploring its fishing spots and tucked-away sea caves. Along the way, we stop at small, peaceful beaches, with pine trees for shade and turquoise Ionian water all around.

We pull our kayaks onto a small beach near Kastos’ small fishing harbor. It is a great place to watch the quiet island life. After a day of paddling and exploring, we have dinner at a local taverna with local food. At night, we stay in simple, cozy guesthouses.

Free day on the island of Kastos

A peaceful morning rises over Kastos as we enjoy a relaxed breakfast in our guesthouse. With no rush today, the focus is on calm, simplicity and embracing the timeless atmosphere of this Ionian gem.

With our professional guides, we’ll practice kayaking in calm, sheltered waters, building your confidence and skills. After that, the day is yours. And since there are no cars on the island, every walk is quiet, peaceful and truly special.

We gather for a relaxed beachside lunch, and later we enjoy the Ionian sunset as it colors the evening sky. In the evening, we meet again at a traditional taverna for a delightful dinner. When night falls, take a gentle walk along the harbor or simply enjoy the quiet rhythm of island life under the stars.

Crossing Tilevoides islands & exploring the Great Caves

After a light breakfast, we prepare for the longest and most rewarding crossing of our multi-day adventure. We begin by paddling among the Tilevoides Islands, leaving Kastos behind and gliding past the beautiful islet of Formicula, making a refreshing stop on Kalamos. From there, we continue toward the southwestern coast of Meganisi, approaching the amazing area around Cape Kefali.

Here, we explore Papanikolis and Giovanni's sea caves carved into Meganisi’s western cliffs. Inside Papanikolis, you can feel a bit of Greek history, as during World War II the submarine “Papanikolis” used this cave as a hiding place. It’s a unique spot where nature and history meet in a simple, powerful way.

Our journey concludes at the bay of Mikros Gialos, where a delicious dinner awaits us in a local seaside restaurant. Overnight at Poros campsite, set up our tents and enjoy a peaceful overnight stay under the quiet sky of Lefkada.

Coastal Paddling to Nydri

After a relaxing seaside breakfast, we leave the peaceful beach of Mikros Gialos and begin our final paddling day along Lefkada’s southeastern coast. Our first stop is the Blue Cave of Achilleas, where sunlight entering through its narrow opening creates shimmering turquoise waters.

We continue north past quiet bays and colorful coves, making short stops for swimming and relaxation. Reaching Desimi Beach, we enjoy its sheltered pebble bay before visiting a nearby sea cave that hides a small stone chapel dedicated to Agios Nikolaos.

Surrounded by the warm Mediterranean atmosphere, we paddle back toward Nydri, savoring the last peaceful strokes of our journey. As we reach the shore, our adventure comes to a close, filled with bright waters, beautiful moments and the timeless charm of Greece!
