Discover the world of sea turtle conservation in Greece with exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the ARCHELON Sea Turtle Rescue Centre in Athens. This unique marine conservation experience offers an up-close look at the rescue, treatment, rehabilitation and release of injured and endangered sea turtles.
Led by members of ARCHELON’s Rehabilitation Team, guests will meet recovering sea turtles, hear their individual rescue stories and learn how specialists prepare them for their return to the Mediterranean Sea. A highlight of the experience is an introduction to ARCHELON’s Environmental Enrichment Programme, which encourages the natural behaviours essential for a successful release back into the wild.
The experience also explores sea turtle biology, the threats facing Mediterranean populations and ARCHELON’s pioneering conservation work across Greece.
More than just a visit, this is a meaningful opportunity to connect with marine wildlife and directly support sea turtle rehabilitation and conservation, with animal welfare remaining the highest priority.
