If we are lucky enough, a deer herd may appear out of nowhere and accompany us on our way. We cross the deer forest on our bikes following the National Park's ring road. During our biking tour in Parnitha we cover a total distance of 16 km!
We cross the lavish pine forest, stopping at natural springs and at points where the view reaches as far as the South Evian Gulf.
Depending on the time of day, the mountain reveals its different looks to us. The morning dew makes the greenery and wildflowers look velvety. The first sunrays pass through the leaves and make us feel as if we have plunged into a fairytale. The sounds of the forest, the chirps, the sound of the water and the rustling of the leaves make the landscape unique.
As we approach the top of Parnitha at 1.413 meters, the weather becomes extremely changeable. It is possible to "see the forest for the trees" and find ourselves pedaling into a cloud!
