For 40 years, Trekking Hellas has been exploring Greece one step at a time. In 2026, we celebrate four decades of outdoor experiences shaped by landscapes, stories, and the people who chose to discover nature with us.
From our first trails to today, every path and every shared moment outdoors has helped define who we are. This anniversary is not just about looking back, it is about celebrating what continues to connect us, the outdoors.
A year of exploration and shared experiences
Throughout 2026, our anniversary celebrations will travel across Greece through a curated series of activities and outdoor experiences inspired by exploration. From mountains to coastlines, along routes with history, character and meaning, we invite you to be part of a year filled with discovery.
The journey begins with a series of free activities in different regions of Greece. Experiences designed to bring people together, open to everyone, with no previous experience required. All you need is curiosity and a love for the outdoors.
📌 January Activities
🔹 Trekking Hellas Thessaloniki - Saturday 17 January 2026
Join us on Saturday 17 January 2026 at the Hortiatis Refuge for a special free outdoor experience, surrounded by the natural beauty of beech and chestnut forests.
From 11:00 to 14:00, both children and adults can try archery in a safe environment, take part in outdoor games, and enjoy outdoor activities designed for all ages.
This experience is open to everyone, regardless of age or experience. A relaxed and playful way to spend time in the mountains, connect with nature, and meet the Trekking Hellas Thessaloniki team.
The activity is free and open to all. Simply express your interest to take part.

🔹 Trekking Hellas Athens - Sunday 18 January 2026
On Sunday 18 January, we invite you to join us for a special free walking experience in the heart of Athens, in the historic neighborhood of Plaka.
Together with the Trekking Hellas Athens team and guided by a well known Athenian writer and researcher, we will explore one of the city’s most atmospheric areas through stories, hidden details, and cultural connections. Antiquities, architecture, religion, music, gastronomy, and everyday life come together in a walk that reveals Athens from a different perspective.
This experience feels like an open air museum, connecting the past with the present through literature, cinema, and key moments of Greek history.
A perfect opportunity to slow down, walk together, and connect with the city and with each other.
