Overview

Experience the wild beauty of Mount Psiloritis and the living traditions of Crete on this full-day private experience.

Start with a scenic drive to Mygeros Plateau and follow the classic route to the summit at 2,456 m. At the top, take in panoramic views and enjoy the feeling of standing on the highest peak in Crete, often known as the “Roof of Crete.”

After the hike, continue by vehicle through traditional mountain villages to a remote shepherd’s hut, known locally as a mitato, where you will get a closer look at an authentic way of life.

Watch traditional cheesemaking and enjoy a hearty Cretan meal with local products and wine. This is not a restaurant experience, but a genuine cultural encounter in a rustic mountain setting.

Your tour leader will support you throughout the hike and ensure a smooth transition between each part of the day.

This experience is ideal for travelers looking to combine nature, culture and gastronomy in one complete day in Crete.
