Discover Verliga, an alpine plateau at 2.050 m that hosts an amazing seasonal lake and impressive meanders formed by the springs of Aspropotamos (Acheloos). Surrounded by the peaks of Tsoukarela and Megas Trapos, Verliga is one of the most unique natural destinations in Pindos.

In spring, the plateau turns into a mosaic of colors with crocuses and buttercups, while Alpine Newts bring life to the lakes, making Verliga an important refuge for biodiversity. The myths of the dragon lake, the waterfalls, and the striking geological formations create a truly captivating landscape.

• Jeep drive to the mountain village of Chaliki at 1.150 m (approx. 1 hour)
• Off-road ascent (8.5 km – about 1 hour)
• Easy hike to the Verliga plateau (20 minutes to the meanders)
• Optional hike to the summit of Tsoukarela (45 min ascent – 45 min return)
