KEOAX is located in the Vrysopoules area of Mount Olympus, specifically at the "Niki" position at an altitude of 1,820m. Operating since 1960, it serves both as a military unit and a ski training center.
Our route takes us through the ski training center, leading to the "Kostas Migkotzidis" refuge at 2,400m. From there, we will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the snow-covered peaks of Mount Olympus and experience the pristine winter landscape. This hike is perfect for those eager to navigate snowy terrain and become familiar with the use of crampons if needed.
After our hike, we’ll have the chance to relax at KEOAX with a warm drink and, for those who wish, a meal—the perfect way to conclude this unforgettable experience!
