The tour begins in the traditional mountain village of Apollona, nestled in the foothills of Mount Profitis Ilias. Your first stop is a visit to a women’s agricultural cooperative, where you’ll meet the local women behind the production of traditional Rhodian delicacies and learn how they preserve time-honored recipes.
After a relaxed walk through the village, you’ll visit a local winery to discover indigenous grape varieties and enjoy a tasting of Rhodes’ award-winning wines.
The highlight of the tour is a hands-on cooking lesson with a local cook. Learn how to prepare classic Greek and Rhodian dishes such as tzatziki, eggplant salad, dolmadakia, traditional cheese pies, and fresh Greek salad—using local ingredients and authentic techniques.
Your experience concludes with a delicious homemade lunch, where you’ll enjoy the dishes you’ve prepared together in a friendly, communal setting. Before leaving Apollona, you’ll also learn the secrets of making traditional Greek coffee during a visit to a historic village café.

For those who choose the pick up and drop off add-on, the pick up time will be sent to them the day before the tour - it will be at approximately 08.30, and the tour will start at 09.30.

Please have in mind that transportation time for the location of the tour is 1 hour from Rhodes town (cruise port & nearby hotels).
1 hour & 20 minutes from Ixia, and less than an hour from Faliraki area etc.
If you are on a cruise (or on a tighter schedule anyway) & willing to take part at this tour, please have in mind that you are expected to be back at Rhodes town area (full of amazing food & memories) at around 15.00 (if transportation left Rhodes Town at 08.30ish).
