This Women's Day, we honor the extraordinary women who have not only walked the trails but have also reached the summits of the world's most famous mountains. These pioneers have charted paths of resilience, empowerment, and adventure, proving that the sky is not the limit but just the beginning! ✨

The Summiters: Trailblazers Who Reached New Heights

  • Junko Tabei (Mount Everest): On May 16, 1975, Junko Tabei of Japan became the first woman to summit Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world. Her historic ascent is a testament to her unwavering spirit and the breaking of gender barriers in mountaineering.
  • Wanda Rutkiewicz (K2): As one of the most outstanding female mountaineers in history, Wanda Rutkiewicz of Poland became the first woman to reach the summit of K2, the world's second-highest mountain, on June 23, 1986. K2 is known for its treacherous conditions, making her achievement particularly remarkable.
  • Arlene Blum (Annapurna): An American mountaineer, Arlene Blum led the first American — and all-women's — ascent of Annapurna I in 1978. Annapurna I is known for its extreme difficulty, and this expedition marked a significant milestone in women's mountaineering.
  • Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner (Kangchenjunga): Austrian climber Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner was the first woman to climb Kangchenjunga without supplementary oxygen. Known for her high-altitude climbs, she reached the summit of the world's third-highest mountain on May 18, 2006.

Empowerment Through Adventure

We believe in the transformative power of the outdoors. The stories of these pioneering women underscore the notion that outdoor activities are not just about physical endurance but also about inner strength, courage, and the determination to transcend limits.

Creating Inclusive Spaces

We are committed to fostering inclusive experiences where women can explore, achieve, and inspire. Beyond our already inclusive programs, we can create taiiored adventures, aimed at supporting women of all skill levels in their outdoor adventures.

This Women's Day, let us celebrate the women who inspire us to reach new heights, to explore without limits, and to live with an unquenchable thirst for adventure.
