Later, we’ll explore the main village, known for its narrow alleys and iconic whitewashed houses, before reaching a viewpoint to admire the Aegean archipelago and nearby islands. From here, you’ll enjoy a stunning view of the historic, uninhabited island of Keros and gain insight into Cycladic history and culture. In the evening, we’ll gather for a welcome dinner at a local taverna, where you can sample Greek raki, relax, and chat about the adventures to come!

Kayak in the waters of Schinoussa

Today's kayaking adventure begins at Livadi Beach, just a 15-minute walk from our hotel. Upon arrival, your guides will provide a detailed briefing and introduction to your kayaking gear before we set off, paddling along the southernmost cape of Schinoussa. As we glide beside rugged coastlines, you’ll discover beaches with crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming. We’ll also explore the deserted islets of Aspronisi and Fidou, where you can try diving, learn about local salt harvesting, and enjoy a beach picnic lunch. Our day concludes back at Livadi Beach with a barbecue dinner by the shore.

Boat tour and Hike in Heraklia

Starting from the port of Schinoussa we reach by traditional wooden boat the port of Heraklia.

We walk uphill to Panagia village and through an old cobblestone path, ascend to the col of Seladi to absorb a panoramic view of Heraklia and the surrounding islands. We follow the route to the cave of Agios Ioannis, the largest cave of Cyclades, and spend some time to explore the cave with its rich adornment of stalactites and domes of various sizes. Having regained strength, we continue the hike passing by Mitata (old shepherds’ houses) and descent to the beach of Alimia. Take your time to swim in its clear blue waters and discover the sunken seaplane of World War II. On our way back, settle in on the boat’s deck for a cruise and enjoy the steep and rocky south coasts of Heraklia. Later in the afternoon, you will have free time in Schinoussa to walk around and sit at a taverna for dinner.

Hike in Schinoussa

Today's hike begins in the village of Chora, heading north along sections of the “Goat’s Path”—an adventurous local trail that circles Schinoussa. We’ll visit the beaches of Gerolimnionas, Fykio, and Psili Ammos, where you can swim or explore the shoreline’s unique rock formations. Our hike then ascends gently to the island’s peak, crowned by an old windmill, at just 85 meters above sea level. Following a circular route on our descent, we’ll pass through Schinoussa’s second village, Messaria, for lunch at a Greek taverna. We’ll return to Chora, and in the evening, gather with fellow travelers at a popular kafeneio for a farewell dinner with music and, of course, raki!
