Explanation of Difficulty Levels
Difficulty Level 1
- Program requiring basic physical condition
- Simple walks within urban environments or on easy trails without significant elevation gain, short duration (up to 3 hours)
- Carrying a small, lightweight daypack
- Accommodation in hotels
Difficulty Level 2
- Program requiring moderate physical condition
- Full-day hikes on easy or moderately challenging trails, lasting up to 5 hours
- Minimal equipment required (trekking shoes and clothing, daypack, etc.)
- Carrying a small, lightweight daypack
- Basic experience and knowledge of moving in natural terrain required
- Accommodation in hotels, hostels, or organized campsites
Difficulty Level 3
- Program requiring good physical condition
- Multi-day hikes in mountainous terrain at moderate altitudes (up to 5,000 m)
- Possible carrying of a backpack containing personal gear
- Basic experience, knowledge of moving in natural terrain, and self-sufficiency required
- Accommodation in guesthouses, mountain refuges, or tents
Difficulty Level 4
- Program requiring very good physical condition
- Multi-day hikes at altitudes above 5,000 m
- Possible carrying of a backpack containing personal gear
- Experience and skills in navigating difficult terrain, as well as strong self-sufficiency, required
- Accommodation in guesthouses, mountain refuges, or tents
Difficulty Level 5
- Program requiring excellent physical condition
- Specialized knowledge and prior experience in the activity (mountaineering, climbing, rafting, etc.)
- Multi-day ascents to high altitudes above 6,000 m, challenging crossings, or advanced river descents
- Use of specialized equipment and excellent handling skills required (e.g., ice axe, crampons, etc.)
- Possible carrying of a backpack containing personal gear
- Experience and skills in difficult terrain, along with high levels of self-sufficiency, required
- Accommodation in guesthouses, mountain refuges, or tents
