Rafting Voidomatis is an easy going rafting descent in the Voidomatis River! 

Voidomatis River rises in the Vikos Gorge and follows an impressive waterway, wreathed with age-long plane trees that border its bed and traditional stone bridges. Voidomatis River joins its cool waters with those of the Aoos River, in Konitsa’s valley. This is one of the most stunning natural environments in Greece. Lush forests, high imposing mountains and deep ravines weaved together with local culture and tradition!

We provide all necessary rafting equipment, including neoprene long johns, jackets, waterproof membrane, neoprene shoes, pfds, helmets, paddles, and rafts. Participants are required to use the provided safety gear for the duration of the trip.

Are there trained guides accompanying the rafting group?

Yes, our experienced and certified IRF guides accompany each raft. They are trained in water safety and first aid and will provide instructions and assistance throughout the adventure.

Is previous rafting experience required?

Previous rafting experience is not required. Our guides will provide thorough instructions, ensuring that both beginners and experienced rafters have an enjoyable and safe experience.

How long does the rafting trip typically last?

The total duration of the rafting trip on the Voidomatis river is approximately 3 hours. This includes the welcome briefing, putting on the equipment, transportation from our rafting base to the river, safety briefing, and the rafting adventure!

Are there facilities for changing and storing belongings?

Yes, we do offer organized facilities with changing rooms and toilets, as well as lockers to secure your personal belongings.

Can non-swimmers participate?

Yes, as long as they wear the safety gear provided and are water confident.

Can I bring my camera or smartphone on the raft?

Yes, you can bring your own camera or smartphone into the river at your own risk, although it is not recommended as there is a high probability it will get lost. Please note that your river guide will take pictures during the rafting trip, which will be emailed to you at the end of the day free of charge.

How many people are on board each raft?

Our rafts can carry up to 8 participants plus 1 river guide.

Will we be in the same raft with other people?

Yes, you will share the raft with other people unless you wish to buy private rafting tickets. Please contact us for your specific request.

Will we get wet during the rafting trip?

Can I wear thermal underwear under the neoprene suit?

Yes, you can if it is made from a synthetic fiber (dry fit) or wool. Cotton is not recommended.
