Overview

A unique 2-day hiking experience in the heart of Pindos, exploring two of Greece’s most impressive alpine lakes: Verliga and the twin Flegga lakes.

On the first day, we head towards the village of Chaliki in the Aspropotamos area, which will be our base. From there, we follow a dirt road as far as conditions allow before continuing on foot towards Verliga alpine lake (2,050 m), known for its impressive meandering formations.

On the second day, we drive to the Mavrovouni refuge and begin our hike towards the twin Flegga lakes and the Flegga peak (2,150 m), through an open alpine landscape with panoramic views towards the Aoos artificial lake.

This is a dynamic, well-rounded mountain experience ideal for hikers with good physical condition.
